Three Days Lake Mburo National Park Safari
Lake Mburo is the best place in Uganda to see the gigantic Eland Antelope, the zebra, buffalo, Oribi, Defassa water-buck, leopard, hippo, hyena, reedbuck Topi, Impala, and several bird species. A boat ride on the Lakes will lead you to wild life like Hippos, Nile Crocodiles, water birds, Hyrexes, Bush Babies and Dwarf Mongoose.
Lake Mburo National Park now contains much woodland as there are no elephants to tame the vegetation. In the western part of the park, the savanna is interspersed with rocky ridges and forested gorges while patches of papyrus swamp and narrow bands of lush riparian woodland line many lakes.
Day One: From kampala headed to Lake Mburo national park towards Mbarara.
This is one part of Uganda covered in extensive acacia woodland. It’s the best place in Uganda to see the gigantic eland antelope, zebras, topi ,impala and several acacia associated birds. After leaving kampala enroute early morning, you may have packed lunch or if time allows, we have a short lunch break at Agip Motel Mbarara town and embark toward Mburo Safari Lodge for overnight and dinner.
Day Two: Lake mburo safari drive.
After breakfast, have an aearly morning drive to spot the animals as they speed off to hide. Go for a boat trip after lunch. The five lakes within the park attract hippos, crocodiles and a variety of waterbirds while fringing swamps hide secretive papyrus i.e sitatunga, antelope and red black and yellow papyrus gonalek. Back to lodge in the evening for dinner and over night.
Day Three: Back to kampala.
After breakfast at the mburo safari lodge, you will head back to kampala with shot lunch break at agip motel then proceed to kampala.
